Simple searches

For example, to search for papers on handheld computers, you can type in computers, handhelds[mesh], which uses the appropriate Medical Subject Heading (with the suffix [mesh]).

As you’d expect from the normal web version of PubMed, tapping on the title of any of the papers brings up its abstract. For example the 19th paper is from the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ). It is interesting for two reasons: its title (“The Perils of PDAs”) and its journal. As you can see it includes a button for the full article. The CMAJ is an open access journal, meaning that all its papers are freely available for reading on the web. Tapping the button shows the article, which recounts the author’s PDA perils.
