Research into mobile medical computing

Although there are almost 700 papers about the topic "computers, handheld" in Medline, only 5% are clinical trials, and most of the rest are simply anecdotal case studies. On the other hand, the rate of adoption of mobile computing technology like handheld computers and smartphones has reached critical mass, and the rate of publication of clinical trials is increasing. This means a fertile area for medical informatics research and this workshop will discuss some of the areas worth considering.
