Palm Powered 101

This class if for NIH staff members who want to learn how to use their Palm Powered handheld computer. The teaching will include discussion of software and usage habits that are appropriate for biomedical researchers.

Topics will include

  • The organizer functions (diary, address book, to-do list and memo pad)
  • Sharing data with colleagues.
  • Finding software for you and your team.
  • Customizing software e.g. designing a simple biomedical research database.
  • Any other areas that members of the audience would like covered.

Who should attend

Anyone with a Palm Powered handheld computer (e.g. Palm, PalmOne, Sony, Handspring, Treo) can attend. Please bring a machine with you, and ensure that its battery is fully charged.

Depending on demand, we may provide a separate session for users with Pocket PCs, or integrate them into this session. If you have a Pocket PC and are interested in registering for a course that would cover it, please contact us in advance.
